About Radium
Radium was formed for the sole purpose of creating beautifully crafted sound design and music. In the past year we have picked up five awards and two nominations.
We are enormously proud that our founder Andrew Diey won the prestigious BBC Sound Designer of the year in 2006.
Radium has worked on more than 25 released game titles for Sony Playstation and Microsoft XBOX games, and hundreds of hours of original music for broadcast.
We've released seven CD albums of scores and sound designed for original BBC Radio Drama for Radio 3 and Radio 4, as well as films and plays. And our first score for television was nominated for a BAFTA.
We've performed our music throughout Europe and given numerous lectures on the subject of sound design and its process and production.
The Team
Andrew Diey - Founder & Creative Director
Andrew is the lead sound designer and oversees all the projects at Radium Audio. He can compose in a contemporary dance and electronic style. More information about Andrew can be seen at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_diey
Ben Laver - Composer
Ben can compose in a variety of styles and his background is mainly writing on piano. He can also score competently in an electronic / contemporary approach. His work can be heard on the Sure Girl advert and Arc Vis projects. He studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has several personal projects ongoing.
Wayne Dineley - Composer
Wayne can compose, score and orchestrate, as well as guitar based music. His background is orchestral notation, he often works in partnership with Ben adding the orchestral parts and occasional guitar. His work can be heard on Devonport Yachts, American Football and the Arc Vis projects. He studied at Greenback Music College in Liverpool and has been playing the guitar since the age of 9. He has just completed his first live theatre drama score, which is due to play at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester, UK.

Emerging Designer of the year 2007 & Best Animation. Radium Audio Ltd were shortlisted in The Roses Design Award for 2 nominated categories.

Winner Best of Manchester Music Award
URBIS center in Manchester held 'The Best of Manchester Awards' this year, the categories are for Fashion, Visuals and Music. Radium Audio Ltd won for Best Music. The award was presented by Peter Saville.

Sonic Interaction Design (SID)
Nomination as a UK representative to the Management Committee of COST Action IC0601. EU funded / European network of 18 delegates from 14 countries to research the exploitation of sound as one of the principal channels conveying information, meaning and aesthetic / emotional qualities in interactive contexts.
