Original Score and Sound Design by Radium Audio

When Director David Robb at Sky Creative asks Radium to create the soundtrack to Sky’s dedicated Formula 1 channel new advert, we are eager to immerse ourselves in the task of sonically channelling the sheer heart-racing adrenaline of the Formula 1 experience.

Because Formula 1 racing carries its own highly iconic sounds, we opt to recreate and augment these with some additional elements, then actually fold them into the original score, so that we have a music track which draws on the hornet-like voices of the cars themselves, exploring every twist, turn, scream and roar the engines make. Layering in an upswell of cinematic strings, epic sound design and bold, dramatic beats, we turbo-boost the final track across the finish line for that goosebump effect …
