As we all know, a lot of creative audio in the media world is produced with combinations of prepackaged samples and sounds on computer. In fast paced production environments it’s really useful to be able to work quickly, but this can sometimes mean that with the same latest release sonic production tools and source material being used to create a lot of different projects across the industry at any given time, these can all start to sound a little similar.

At Radium we’re really passionate about bringing real world creativity to our projects, and infusing acoustically created music and found sound to bring a real flair to our work, giving a genuine augmentation and alternative to standard digital production tools. Radiumphonic Lab is our inhouse engine room at Radium, where we create a lot of our sounds organically both inhouse and out on location, explore and evolve our sonic science to inform commercial projects, build musical instruments bespoke to project, and prototype our installations.

Originally founded by Andrew Diey in 2007, Radium operates from our 3,000 sq ft studio and sound lab in London. We have a full time inhouse multi-skilled creative team covering original music composition, sound creation and foley, sound design and editing, music and sound production, creative direction and project management.
